The North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus

Since its founding in 1983, the North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus has worked to advocate for the interests and concerns of minority communities across our state.

The NCLBC  serves as a platform for black legislators to collectively address issues of civil rights, social justice, education, economic empowerment, healthcare disparities, criminal justice reform, voting rights, and equitable representation.

By amplifying the voices and experiences of black North Carolinians, the caucus works to shape policies that promote equality, combat systemic racism, and create a more just and inclusive state for all.
